Aims & Scope

The aim of the journal "Physical Culture, Recreation and Rehabilitation" is to present scientific achievements in strengthening, maintaining, and restoring the physical condition of various population groups through the means and methods of physical culture, as well as to promote the development of interdisciplinary cooperation and cross-cultural communication.

The main research topics include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Physical exercises, recreational programs, rehabilitation activities, and other aspects of physical culture as tools for reducing the negative physical and psycho-emotional consequences of military conflicts and crises.
  • Means and methods of physical culture in recreational activities and rehabilitation practices.
  • Sports activities with an emphasis on safety and health promotion.
  • Innovative technologies and approaches to education, recreation, and rehabilitation processes.

Categories of Articles

The journal publishes various categories of articles, including original research, review articles, and theoretical works. Original research consists of empirical studies that include experiments, observations, and other data collection methods aimed at testing hypotheses and advancing knowledge in the fields of physical culture, recreation, and rehabilitation. Special attention is given to articles where physical culture is considered a linking element with recreation and rehabilitation. Review articles provide a comprehensive analysis of the existing literature on specific topics, identifying current achievements and research gaps. Theoretical works offer new conceptual models and hypotheses that reveal the integrative role of physical culture in improving health and quality of life.

A digital object identifier (DOI) is a unique alphanumeric string assigned by a registration agency (the International DOI Foundation) to identify content and provide a persistent link to its location on the internet. The publisher assigns a DOI when your article is published and available electronically.

ORCID Policy

Journal encourages all authors to register for an ORCID iD and associate it with their ScopusAuthorID/ResearcherID.
We strongly believe that the increased use and integration of ORCID iDs will be beneficial for the whole research community.

Plagiarism Policy

Journal subscribes to the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. All authors must abide by the standards outlined in the journal’s ethical guidelines. In particular, please note the need to avoid duplicate submission, plagiarism and self-plagiarism. If you are unsure what is meant by plagiarism read Best Practice Guidelines on Publishing Ethics. Self-Plagiarism is defined as a type of plagiarism in which the writer republishes a work in its entirety or reuses portions of a previously written text while authoring a new work. The key component of this malpractice is that the new paper makes no reference to the previous publication. Manuscripts are checked for evidence of plagiarism. In case of evidence of using plagiarism in the manuscript it will be rejected and no further submissions will be accepted.
All articles submitted to the JOURNAL will be checked using the "iThenticate" plagiarism detection software.
A specific process is followed to manage a case of plagiarism. The JOURNAL follows the guidelines contained in the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) flowcharts. more

All Open Access articles distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License, which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited. more

Self-Archiving Policy

Authors of articles are permitted to self-archive the submitted (preprint) version of the article at any time, and may self-archive the accepted (peer-reviewed) version. The Authors may deposit published version of the article. more
